This breathtaking landscape provides the ideal setting for a variety of activities, from the serene to the adventurous. In the sky, you can take a helicopter tour above the Falls or soar across to the Zambian side for a low-flying microlight experience over the gorge. On the water, paddle a canoe above the Falls, embark on a jet boat safari just beneath, or head downstream for exhilarating white-water rafting. For those seeking a more tranquil experience, there are sunset cruises on the Zambezi, fishing excursions and trips to Livingstone Island. On terra firma, explore local villages, purchase hand-crafted souvenirs, or go on wildlife drives through the Zambezi National Park.

Covering an expanse of almost 5500 square miles, Hwange National Park is set to be your enchanting retreat for the next few days. The park is home to more than 100 species of mammals and 400 species of birds. For many, the park's crowning glory is its reputation as one of Africa's last great elephant sanctuaries, famed for its substantial elephant population. During your stay, you'll can choose to enjoy game drives, seasonal guided walks, nights beneath the stars and wildlife observation from a hide.

Lake Kariba offers a true African wilderness experience, with exceptional game-viewing opportunities by boat, 4x4 vehicle, or on foot. During a safari, expect encounters with elephants, buffaloes, Nile crocodiles, lions, hippos, impalas and zebras. With some luck, you may even catch a glimpse of a rare leopard. There's also a choice of activities, including game drives, boating and walking. Not to be overlooked is the star gazing, which provides a breathtaking late-night spectacle.

It ranks among the least developed parks in Southern Africa and remains one of the rare areas where elephants are often seen standing on their hind legs to access the much-coveted pods of the ana trees. Deliberately limited in number, the lodges and tented camps in this splendid region ensure a truly exclusive experience. Traversing on foot or via canoe is widely regarded as the optimal way to explore; while witnessing vibrant bird colonies and observing elephants make their way to islands blanketed in reeds are just two of the many highlights here.
