Or, pause to take in the vibrant city life on the famous Ahumada Boulevard.

The Atacama Salt Flat stands out as a premier highlight within the Los Flamencos National Reserve. Marvel at the abundance of tall birds that make their homes and forage in its 'watery eyes', such as the Chaxa Lagoon and listen closely to hear the subtle distinctions among the Andean, Chilean and James's flamingos.

    Santiago

The fifth-largest city in South America offers a wealth of attractions, with Cerro Santa Lucia Hill, the birthplace of Santiago and the Bellavista district being essential visits. Chilean Wine Region

Chile's Central Valley, with its fertile valleys cradled by mountains and the ocean, enjoys hot summers, refreshing coastal breezes and moderate rainfall, creating an ideal environment for producing some of the finest wines in the world. Explore underground cellars and historic vineyard estates to sample Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc varieties in the Casablanca Valley, the nation's rapidly expanding wine region beloved by food and wine connoisseurs for its elegant vineyard dining experiences. Alternatively, seek out the robust Cabernet Sauvignon in the Maule, Maipo and Colchagua Valleys. Notably, the Colchagua Valley hosts the iconic Santa Cruz Vineyard, where visitors can ride a cable car up Chamán Hill and gaze at the stars from the observatory bearing the same name.

    Atacama Desert

Being in a remote area, even for just a few days, is an extraordinary experience, yet it pales in comparison to what the Atacama Desert offers. The adventures here rank among the most remarkable you'll ever have, including horseback riding in the Moon Valley of the Salt Mountain Range, trekking to geysers, cycling through canyons, climbing volcanoes, or observing pink flamingos at Laguna Chaxa. Moreover, there's no better place for stargazing than Atacama, home to the earth's clearest night skies.
