Why Stay?

OKU Bodrum sits on the quieter, northern edge of the peninsula, where the crowds thin and the coast breaks into a run of bays.

A boardwalk leads down to a private jetty, and from there a boat can take you out to empty lagoons and offshore islands, or round to the marinas and beach clubs the busier south is known for. On shore, the adults-only resort stays barefoot, where 58 rooms and suites face the water behind wide terraces, some with a private pool.

To Kima – Greek for 'wave' – handles poolside Mediterranean platters; Teyo turns to Japanese flavours; and the Round Bar perches out over the cove for the sunset hour. Between the hammam, the hilltop yoga terrace and boat trips to the Hellenistic ruins down the coast, the days fill themselves – but the peninsula's real luxury is how little you have to do with them.
