Joining Virgin Limited Edition's three existing stand-alone luxury private villas – Sa Punta de S'Aguila, Sa Terra Rotja and Son Balagueret – in the beautiful 810-acre Son Bunyola Estate (part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site), is the collection's latest addition, the Son Bunyola Hotel. Home to 26 beautifully designed rooms and suites, each with its own unique character, charm and soaring views, including two striking Tower Suites – one of which was originally a defence tower built in the 13th century – showcasing vineyard views and the mountains beyond.
Traditional and local materials are at the core of the hotel's design; every detail has been carefully thought-out and all the original features retained, which is fundamental to the history of the local area. Set in one of the most ancient areas of Banyalbufar, the hotel elegantly blends into the surrounding landscape and offers incredible sweeping views of the Mediterranean and the Tramuntana coastline.
Attached to the main house is the former olive press, the Tafona, now one of two restaurants here; while the large terrace that separates the two buildings is home to the heated infinity pool which boasts incredible views of the surrounding countryside and Mallorca's famous Foradada.
