Six Senses Ibiza is a breath of fresh air and the island’s much-needed five-star option. Tucked away in the north’s secluded Xarraca Bay, you’ll find there’s so much more to Ibiza than clubbing: farm-to-table food, market tours, sunset rituals and spiritual and wellness festivals (and the spa’s after-party detox programme is INGENIOUS!). It’s an easy 10-minute walk to Portinax, with its three beaches and some decent eateries; 20 minutes by car to Santa Eulália; and Las Dallias Hippy Market is also close by.
The season is so much longer than the clubs make you think too, with many restaurants open through November. And you won’t find anywhere else with this size and standard of accommodation, which includes unique cave suites built into the cliffs and private, three- to 10-bedroom Residences and Mansions, brilliant for families or friends to spend enjoy together.
There’s no beach at Six Senses itself, but the main infinity pool has stunning views. The new pool, bordered by sand and close to the Residences, is popular with families; or you can head via the lift to the Beach Caves area, which has its own bar and restaurant, a small number of sunbeds and parasols, direct access to the sea, plus paddle-boards and sea-kayaks (all watched-over by the on-duty lifeguard).”
