THALASSOTHERAPY
Set in a wonderful private tropical garden, Acquaforte Thalasso & Spa serves up a revolutionised world of thalassotherapy, created 25 years ago by the medical team at Forte Village, led by Dr Angelo Cerina. This is a totally original and extraordinarily effective method for detoxing, rejuvenating and improving the body and has been made even more exclusive with the help of the best specialists in sports, aesthetic and dietary medicine in the ultra-modern Forte Lab and Performance Center facilities.
Overlooking the vast Sardinian sea, the resort’s thalassotherapy course consists of six pure Sardinian seawater pools. The first three pools – at a high temperature and with a high saline concentration – have an extraordinary detox effect. The final three – with a lower saline concentration and at lower temperatures – round off the regenerating programme, stabilising the exchanges between the body and the mineral salts. What occurs in between? A deep rejuvenation and relaxation that tones the muscles, revitalises the skin.
TREATMENT AYURVEDA
Ancient Ayurvedic medicine has found a new home at Acquaforte Thalasso & Spa in their splendid Ayurvedic Park in the most secluded corner of the garden. And, armed with the finest techniques acquired in Nepal and India and boasting over 20 years’ experience, Ayurveda Master Raj Eka Thapaliya – a specialist in shirodhara practices, meditation and sound healing – is on hand to employ traditional oriental treatments that revitalise both body and spirit.
