    Something for Everyone

“This resort’s story began some 30-plus years ago when Le Meridien first opened its doors as an all- singing, all-dancing five-star resort in Limassol’s Amathus area. When I last visited, it was definitely starting to show its age. But now, following a radical, 150-million-Euro facelift by Marriott back in 2019, Parklane, as it’s now known, is an impressive, super-slick addition to the Luxury Collection brand.

    HOTEL REVIEW

This exceptional resort is design-led, in a glorious beachfront setting and features world-class facilities.

Set on 23 acres, there are 222 rooms and 52 suites; an outstanding array of contemporary accommodation; a private beachfront setting; and unrivalled service and dining (which is great as the location means you can’t really go to local restaurants without hopping into a taxi).

Being a large property, boutique-loving clients may struggle – especially in the school holidays as the resort does get very busy with families. However, the Lifestyle Wing caters exclusively for adults, feels very separate and offers plenty of areas for grown-ups wanting more privacy. The One-Bedroom Suites are super-spacious. Each has a balcony (those on the ground floor a private pool too!) and overlooks the gorgeous Adults-Only pool, with its chilled, beach club vibe.

Meanwhile, for families, interconnecting options are guaranteed; and The Park Suite section, set back about a minute from the main hotel (golf buggies are on hand to get around), is a favourite with families, thanks to their spacious two- and three-bedroom duplex-style pool villas.

Two family pools (one seawater) are centrally located, and there’s a private, 300-metre stretch of serviced, coarse-sand beach with plenty of sunbeds and cabanas available to hire for 150 Euros per day.

There’s also a riot of activity for every age. Watersports – jet skis, banana boats, sailing, parasailing and more – run separately from the hotel; and the 3000-square-metre, imaginative Park Kidz Club has its own pool and Kids’ Football Academy (available over specific dates). The transformative Kalloni SPA boasts 14 treatment rooms, five thalassotherapy pools, a Carol Joy Hair Salon and a traditional Gentlemen’s Tonic Barber Shop; and gym bunnies can head to the high-tech health club, Parkfit, to get their fitness fix. A classy all-rounder with something for everyone”
