Why Stay?
There are a few hotels in the world whose names have become virtually synonymous with the cities in which they are located – and none more so than Raffles.
First off, it's brilliantly located, within easy reach of all the sights and, with so much on offer, you'd be forgiven for not venturing out of the front door. Let's not forget this is one of the world's most famous hotels, so you're setting foot, quite literally, in history. But most exciting of all, as of August 2019, this Singapore icon returned fresh from a multi-phase restoration project that retained the ambiance, service, charm and heritage but also ensured it stayed relevant and adapted to the ever-changing needs of those who visit. So it goes without saying, this elder statesman of Asian hotels will be enchanting guests for many more years to come.
Upping its overall count from 103 to 115, Residence, Promenade and Studio Suites were added. Meanwhile, beyond the guestrooms, the famous Raffles Arcade was refreshed with a range of social spaces and lifestyle experiences, including the Raffles Boutique gift shop with a History Gallery showcasing the hotel's heritage; and a new Raffles Spa. Culinary offerings now include BBR by Alain Ducasse and La Dame de Pic by Michelin starred-chef Anne-Sophie Pic; with the Long Bar returning to its original location, refreshed, restored and serving its famed Singapore Sling experience once again.
