Just 21 keys share a forested estate minutes from Bandhavgarh National Park: 19 luxury 60-square-metre tents, each with its own garden, and two 105-square-metre private-pool villas, with indoor and outdoor showers and room to dine in complete seclusion. Central India appears in all the right details. A monumental entrance door, hand-chiselled by local artisans with tribal motifs, leads to a lounge lined in pale Katni stone, with vivid artworks, embroidered canopies and carved timber paying tribute to the region’s Gond and Baiga heritage.
The tents open onto decks among the trees; the villas place their pools against views of the forest, and the lake is the property’s social centre. The 18-metre infinity pool traces its edge, barbecues are prepared beside the water at The Bush Kitchen, and The Deck serves dinner beneath the open sky.
