    Desert Rhino Camp

    DAMARALAND, NAMIBIA

    Why Stay?

Desert Rhino Camp is nestled among rolling, rocky hills dotted with euphorbia, ancient welwitschia plants, sparse vegetation, and isolated clusters of trees within the 450,000-hectare Palmwag Concession, an area renowned for its peaceful, minimalist beauty, its abundance of wildlife adapted to arid conditions, and the largest free-roaming black rhino population in Africa.

Accommodation comes in the form of eight Meru-style canvas tents accommodating up to 16 guests. Each is elevated on a wooden platform and includes an en-suite bathroom complete with a hand basin, flush toilet, and shower. The beds, dressed in crisp white linen, are flanked by two dark wood bedside tables topped with wicker reading lamps; and the deck extends to form a front veranda where guests can unwind in director's chairs and enjoy the breathtaking views of the desert expanse and Etendeka Mountains.
