  • Days 2-4

Three full days to explore the City of Angels gives you plenty of time to take in some of its most popular sights – Universal Studios Hollywood™, the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Hollywood Sign, Hancock Park (its stately mansions and Art Deco apartments built for the stars of Hollywood’s heyday), the Kodak Theatre et al – and some of its lesserknown gems from a different perspective.

Go behind the scenes of a highly popular movie or TV show; explore the exclusive enclaves of Beverly Hills and Bel Air on a private, up-close-and-personal bike adventure; hike into the Hollywood Hills; or head west to see the world-famous beaches and pier of Santa Monica, and Pacific Palisades with breathtaking views of the California coastline.

  • Days 6-7

    Oahu

Like Honolulu-born former President Obama, Oahu is proud of its multicultural heritage, and through it pulses the lifeblood of Hawaiian traditions. There’s the big city activities of Honolulu: from the amazing shopping and nightlife, to its historic landmarks, flourishing arts and culture scene, the underground bars of the Chinatown Arts District, and waterparks. Or you can choose to surf the giant waves of the North Shore (one of the most iconic parts of the Hawaiian Islands), hike atop knife-edged pali (cliffs), dive into Hanauma Bay’s outdoor fishbowl, go windsurfing or kayak to uninhabited islands off Kailua – and still be back in Waikiki in time for sunset drinks. And do set some time aside to visit the timeless memorials and museums of Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial.

  • Day 8

  • Days 9-11

    Maui

What we love the most about Maui is that while it’s big enough to never feel like you’re marooned, it’s small enough that one minute you could be chilling on the best beach in the world, and the next, climbing up a jungle waterfall. Andwith three days here, you can explore as much of the island as you wish quite comfortably.

Definitely use one day to take the heritage Road to Hana (a scenic drive across East Maui filled with one-lane bridges, waterfalls and plantations that hark back to the days of old Hawaii). Then it’s a tougher choice. You can snorkel the crescent-shaped Molokini Crater (a 25-minute boat ride away), hike the Hoapili Trail, watch the sun rise – or set – from Haleakalā National Park, delve into historic Lahaina – former capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii, or explore the island’s north-western coast or celebrated Iao Valley State Park (home to one of Maui’s most recognisable landmarks, the 1200-foot Iao Needle).

  • Day 12

    Maui to Los Angeles

Depart Los Angeles on your international flight back to London.
