Zimbabwe

​WHY NOW? With virtually no rain and a low risk of malaria, September (though hot and dry) offers excellent game-viewing, particularly in Hwange, as wildlife concentrates around limited water sources. Victoria Falls is also spectacular, as the water is mid-to-low and the spray won't block your view.

Santorini

WHY NOW? Head to Santorini at the start of the month for all the buzz, nightlife and beach parties of summer. But hold off until the last half of the month, and as well as great t-shirt weather, the big plus is you won’t have to fight the hoards of tourists on the streets of Oia come sunset.
