Zarafa Camp, Selinda Reserve, Botswana

Created by a husband and wife team of award-winning filmmakers and keen conservationists, Zarafa is an immense, exclusive reserve in the Linyanti, known for its intimate wildlife experiences, so it’s perfect for anyone looking for their own ‘private Africa’.

This is safari old-style: accommodation comprises just four expansive ‘marquis’ tents, each with three ‘rooms’: beautifully decorated and furnished with custom-made recycled hardwood pieces. The views of the Zibadianja Lagoon – the source of the famous Savute Channel – are breathtaking, and the same styling continues throughout, conjuring up the traditional safari ambience of the early 1900s.
