    Búzios

Stay: Vila D'Este, Búzios (4 nights)

Famous for its unique combination of rustic charm, architectural harmony, incredible beauty and sophisticated boutiques, you’ll soon see why Buzio is known as the St Tropez of Brazil (it gained fame in 1964 when Brigitte Bardot’s came to stay). Over 20 beaches skirt the peninsula and it’s paradise when it comes to fine-dining too, with a diverse range of flavours thanks to all the nationalities who visited, fell in love with the area, and never left!

    Your Stay

    Vila d’Este

Sometimes all you need (particularly in a place as idyllic as Búzios) is an incredibly photogenic hillside setting, a convivial atmosphere, a couple of pools, and subtly stylish suites with sublime ocean views. Which is where Vila d’Este comes in.

    Rio de Janeiro

Stay: Hotel Fasano Rio de Janeiro (3 nights)

If this is your first time in Rio, then first stop has to be people-watching on the shores of Copacabana or Ipanema Beaches. But don't spend all of your time on the shore as this Marvellous City has even more spectacular natural beauty to offer, with sites like Tijuca National Park and Sugar Loaf Mountain. And for a real taste of what it means to be a Cariocas (a native Brazilian, born in Rio), then you must venture into charming neighbourhoods like Santa Teresa and Lapa.

    Your Stay

    Hotel Fasano Rio de Janeiro

South America’s hottest hotel in affluent Ipanema. Watch the sun set over the country’s sexiest beach from an original Sergio Rodrigues chair on your oceanview balcony.

    Paraty

    Stay: Casa Turquesa (3 nights)

There’s no doubt about it. Paraty is gorgeous with a capital ‘G’. An impossibly picturesque natural beauty (that becomes a mini-Venice when the tide rolls in thanks to its below-sea-level location), it has, for the most part, remained unchanged since becoming part of Brazil’s Gold Trail in the 1700s. With steep mountains, tropical jungle and the Atlantic right on its doorstep, beautiful white-washed colonial buildings and baroque churches, mismatched cobblestone streets and squares lined with museums, galleries, boutiques and restaurants in its UNESCO-crowned historic centre, it’s beloved by culture vultures, outdoorsy types and beach- and party-lovers alike. After exploring the town and watching horse-drawn carriages roll by, take a boat trip around Baía de Paraty’s 50 beaches and 65 islands, tour the area’s waterfalls, visit the coastal village of Trindade (famed for its quiet beaches and proximity to nature), and Mamanguá – the Brazilian Coast’s only tropical fjord – perfect for kayaking, hiking and wildlife-spotting. And be sure to visit one of the cachaça distilleries for a taste of Brazil’s national drink.

    Your Stay

    Casa Turquesa

Stylish, inviting and intimate: exuberant Casa Turquesa is a heavenly hosted home-away-from-home in Paraty’s historical centre, with easy-breezy colour-themed rooms reflecting the town’s simple vibe.
