Relais Villa Vittoria, Laglio, Lake Como, Italy
Once the holiday home of a Milanese noble family (and
where silkworms were raised from the mulberry garden to help create the
region’s famed fabrics); today Relais Villa Vittoria is a more fashionable and
intimate boutique hideaway than most of its Como contemporaries (and just a short complimentary kayak or
bike-ride to a certain Mr Clooney’s villa if you fancy a sneak peek).
What we like
most though are the cosy nooks and cascading lawns down to the infinity pool,
plus little extras like private candlelit gazebo dinners, fun cooking lessons,
bespoke picnic baskets and sunset boat tours on the enchanting lake.
