Hotel Savoy - A Rocco Forte Hotel, Florence, Italy
Awash with classical lines and rich detail that stands up to the closest inspection, Hotel Savoy is a stylish, contemporary designer destination and one of the city’s most popular, with luxury in bundles.
Rescued from decay in the late 1990’s by Sir Rocco Forte, Hotel Savoy is
brilliantly situated
just a short stroll
from Florence’s key attractions including the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio, as well
as the main fashion houses – which is where Olga Polizzi (one
of our favourite interior designers) took her inspiration.
In fact you'll find nods to fashion throughout the property, all cleverly woven amongst the contemporary-classic Italian décor.
Dining here too is exquisite, with the informal L'Incontro Bar & Restaurant being one of the hottest venues in town, serving modern Tuscan food like pasta with artichokes and scorpion fish: its tables set out in the busy piazza presenting excellent people-watching opportunities in a truly cosmopolitan atmosphere.
