Hotel San Rocco

For direct lake access and a lovely waterside terrace, you can’t go wrong with Hotel San Rocco, a former 17th-century monastery with sublime gardens and stunning views of San Giulio Island from its pool and patio.

Choose from rooms and suites in the baroque Villa Gippini, or the main building’s more modern, recently renovated options (either way, we definitely recommend something with a lake view). Activity-wise there are bike, canoe and twin-hulled rowboat rentals, and close by plenty of opportunities for an array of land and lake escapades, including a boat trip to the island of San Giulio – a must during your stay.​
