Best by Night

Le Toiny at Le Toiny Hotel

A clean 'coastal chic' venue, serving simple yet elegant Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, widely considered one of the island's best dining venues. If you're there during a full moon, book ahead, as the views are spectacular. Check out the open-air oyster shell bar, and the renowned its Sunday brunch.

Open for lunch and dinner.

Black Ginger, Gustavia

The first exclusively and authentically- Thai restaurant to open in St Barths, Black Ginger is the ultimate reference for the zingy spiciness of the Siam peninsula's cuisine, serving everyone's favourites, as well as more unconventional dishes – all creatively concocted by a trio of Thai chefs.

Open for dinner (closed Tuesdays & Wednesdays).

Restaurant Le Sereno at Le Sereno

A casually-elegant beachfront Mediterranean brasserie that takes full advantage of the Caribbean Sea's bounty and gives it a strong Italian accent. Open for dinner, and perfect for savouring the sunsets and ahhh-mazing views of Grand Cul de Sac.

Le Ti St-Barth, Pointe Milou

Immerse yourself in the fun, funky and sexy spirit of St Barths' nightlife at this classy cabaret, legendary for its gourmet French cuisine, great selection of Champagne, extensive wine cellar, guest DJs from all over the world and table-top dancing. Pre-booking is essential.

Open for dinner (closed Mondays).

On The Rocks at Eden Rock

The sultry Asian-inspired On the Rocks is spectacularly set high on the rock itself, with panoramic, floodlit views of St Jean Bay, the coral reefs and beyond. Start with cool cocktails at sunset, and follow with gourmet fusion fare masterminded by Master Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, washed down with something from the international wine list – perhaps one of the organic vintages or specially-selected wines from Jean-Georges' native Alsace region.

Open for dinner.

Bonito St Barths, Gustavia

Sophisticated, cosy, casual and contemporary. There's no air-con, but stunning views over the yacht-filled harbour more than make up for it. One of the top three venues on the island, and home to one of its best ceviche bars, two multi-talented mixologists, and a late-night lounge scene… Bonito is what happens when you cross exquisite French flavours with Latino living.

Open for dinner, closed Wednesdays.

L’Esprit, Saline

One of the island's top five (and most famous) eateries, with something for everyone, from fans of meat and fish to vegetarian dishes. Encounter new flavours and light, innovative, sophisticated farm-to-table cuisine, accented in market-sourced seafood and sauces with a pan-Asian influence, created by Eden Rock's former chef.

Open for dinner (closed Tuesdays).

Le Tamarin, Saline

Set in an infinitely charming tropical garden, with a 100-year-old tamarind tree at its heart, and cuisine that's authentically French in style, Le Tamarin has an almost mythical reputation on the island and should be experienced at least once. A casual chic vibe, and a great spot to take the whole family with lots of areas for the kids to roam in the gardens.

Open for dinner (closed Mondays).

L’Isola, Gustavia

Another of the island's top three dining experiences, St Barth's most authentic and refined Italian restaurant is just steps from the harbour. Its sophisticated recipes combine the flavours of the Amalfi Coast with local seafood, so expect pasta with clams, grilled Spanish lobster, whole fish and burrata, all brought to you by a fantastic Italian team.

Open for dinner.

Bagatelle St Barth, Gustavia Harbour

A big hit in New York, Bagatelle has a second location along the waterfront in Gustavia: a real party place and trendy brasserie featuring French bistro-style cuisine with Mediterranean accents and a relaxed ambience, perfect for sunset drinks or festive feasts.

Open for dinner (closed Sundays).

La Case de l'Isle at Cheval Blanc St Barth Isle de France
