Overview

​Its treatments are drawn from wellbeing traditions across the world - from the Caribbean, North America and Europe; all combined with a truly Barbadian sense of warmth.

Open from 9am to 8pm daily, the 47,000-square-foot spa retreat offers three speciality rooms and 11 beautifully appointed treatment rooms, each with its own bathroom; a 2500-square-foot gym offering, in addition to all the usual equipment, a range of fitness assessments and personal training.

​But what we particularly love about The Spa at Sandy Lane is that, despite its size, there's a warm, private and remarkably intimate atmosphere: it's the perfect combination of luxury and tranquility, and you simply can't beat the feeling of being totally immersed into relaxation here. 

The Facilities

Even the sauna here is beautifully appointed, where panoramic views of the hydrotherapy pool and waterfall provide a perfect setting for total relaxation. A unique system of dry heating ovens dispersing scented steam will invigorate, relax or refresh you; then head to one of the three magnificent cold showers – the Kneipp hand-held shower, the gush shower with soft water jet effect, and the stimulating waterfall bucket shower - to regulate body temperature.

Another perfect cooling down experience after enjoying the heat facilities, is the Crystal Cold Room. Simply relax on the exquisite mosaic bench while shimmering star lights reflect off the sparkling crystal stone, reminiscent of a star-filled sky. The cold air stimulates a pleasant and tingly feeling, leaving you feeling fully refreshed.

When it's not being used as a steam room, the Rhassoul, cocooned in its own separate area open to the sky, is an oriental steam bath, featuring two beautiful mosaic chairs with showers located above. With the application of Pink Kaolin clay from the neck down, the treatment begins with dry heat to extract impurities, followed by herbal steam to soften the clay and moisturise the skin. To finish, warm cascading water removes the clay leaving the skin hydrated and refreshed.

Continue your relaxing journey in the hydrotherapy pool. Therapeutic bubbles soothe the body and stimulate the skin. A soak in this pool, on one of our airbeds or in the Jacuzzi where water jets work to stimulate the body, is an idyllic experience.

Bajan Indulgence Experience

Includes a body scrub with coconut and Bajan brown sugar; a warm clay wrap in banana leaves and a Full Body Massage and finished with a deliciously decadent Bajan lunch from The Spa Café.

The Niance Men Ultimate Revitalising Body (90 minutes)

The ultimate anti-ageing body treatment for men! Begin this ritual with a body exfoliation using anti-age peeling to deeply cleanse the skin, while the Premium Glacier Body Serum tones and re-mineralises the body. To complete this ritual, the deeply relaxing Niance Serpentine stone massage is performed to relieve physical tension and leave the body feeling totally relaxed.

Signature Romance Ritual (2 hours)

This unique, bespoke couples' treatment will leave you with the warmest memories of your time at Sandy Lane. The experience begins with a foot ritual in a candlelit room with rose petals and soothing aroma. Side-by-side full body massages are then performed using The Spa's Signature Sunrise and Sunset oils, and concludes with a wonderfully relaxing scalp massage. Finally, feast on chocolate-covered strawberries, accompanied by a refreshing mocktail while relaxing in your own private hydro-pool.
