True 1960s cool brought bang up-to-date, the sleek modernist architecture of this former royal guest house has been exquisitely restored. There's a wonderful 17.5-metre pool, sun-deck and an additional 25-metre lap pool, and open-plan suites with bathrooms that open out onto light-filled courtyards. But the real highlights are the guided temple excursions by remork (moped-powered trishaws), balloon, or helicopter.
