A relatively recent reserve set up as a joint conservation venture, around 40 minutes north-east of Port Elizabeth. Amakhala is an 18,000-acre reserve with a choice of luxury lodges and a variety of unique experiences, including river cruises and game-viewing (with all of the Big Five present) under the guidance of professional guides.
