Lovely, easy-going alfresco restaurant which has a reputation as one of the top restaurants in the Turks and Caicos, where you can come and go in your beach gear and enjoy light Caribbean-inflected lunchtime fare, or savour the contemporary Thai- and Japanese-inspired Asian dishes by night.

 

L’Acajou @ Sandy Lane, Barbados

Fine dining at its best, and well worth every penny. A spectacular setting, sublime atmosphere – especially on the upper terrace – fantastic live pianist, and so many delicious dishes to choose from, it’s almost impossible to dine here just once.

Most Heavenly Hotel Rooms

Hôtel Métropole, Monte-Carlo, France

The Deluxe and Superior Rooms are super-luxurious, but relatively small, while the Junior Suites and upwards offer much more space.

 

​Ohla Hotel, Barcelona, Spain

Ask for a room on a higher floor, and if your budget allows, go for a Junior Suite. Some overlook Via Laitana and the pedestrianised street which made it slightly noisier, but the city central location more than makes up for it.
