reserve – and staying at Vanyavilas feels just how we imagine a royal hunting

More like top hotel suites with canvas roofs!), all with free-standing roll-top
baths, finely
embroidered canopies, four-posters
and outside decks for contemplating tiger sightings.
The resort is picture-perfect; with fruit-bearing trees and a meandering watercourse and there re animals everywhere, too: elephants on friezes, peacocks on murals and tigers on silk walls.
Our favourites though were Lakshmi and Mala, the hotel’s resident elephants, who take guests for rides around the park.
